The semi-update

Stuff I’ve been up to lately.

)Promoting The Missing, which has been pretty fun. I’ve got a live chat over at The Writer’s Chatroom (http://www.writerschatroom.com/schedule.htm) on the 14th at 7pm, and another chat on the 15th at The Lost and The Damned. Stop by and ask questions, or let me know here if there’s anything in particular you’d like to hear about.

)Recovering from the shock that a former teacher in Catholic school read my book, and dropped me a line.

)Working on my thesis, which is harder when you spill soup on your computer, and lose your free software but are too cheap to buy the legit stuff.

)Teaching the Wonder Rabbit to respond to whistles. She’s a genius!

)Writing my third novel, Audrey’s Door.

)Boiling in this inauspicious October heat.

)Getting my ducks in a row for this trailer contest, which I hope everybody tries their hand at.

)Trying to find a place to get married, only to realize that all I care about is the groom, and my dress. Flipping through pictures of cakes and flowers and food = slow death. I visited the Mohonk Hotel in New Paltz yesterday, which is apparently the inspiration for “The Shining.” This makes sense, as it is massive, gorgeous, overpriced, and soulless. … Now the wedding in the Deer Hunter, that was a wedding!
